Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped okra
- 1 cup mixed seafood (fish fillets, prawns)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, blended
- 1 tbsp ground crayfish
- For the swallow: 1 cup oat flour, 1-1.5 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Soup: In a pot, boil lean seafood (fish fillets, prawns) in water with a few chopped onions and a little salt. Remove the cooked seafood and set it aside.
- In the same pot of stock, add a blended mix of peppers, ground crayfish, and chopped okra.
- Simmer until the okra is tender. Flaked fish and other seafood can be added back in at the end.
- Prepare the Oat Swallow: Boil 1 cup of water. Gradually add 1 cup of oat flour while stirring continuously with a wooden spoon until a smooth, firm dough forms. Knead for a few minutes.
- Serve the seafood okra soup hot with the oat swallow.
