- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon water
- For the Shake:
- 3 large scoops (about 1.5 cups) vanilla ice cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
- For Topping:
- Whipped cream
- Caramel sauce
- Crushed graham crackers or a pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the chopped apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and water. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until the apples are soft and syrupy. Let it cool completely.
- Place a tall glass in the freezer.
- In a blender, combine the cooled cooked apples, vanilla ice cream, milk, and 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Drizzle the inside of the chilled glass with extra caramel sauce. Pour the shake into the glass.
- Top with a large swirl of whipped cream, another generous drizzle of caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers or a pinch of sea salt to enhance the caramel flavor.
