Ingredients

  • Liver sauce
  • 200g liver (beef)
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2tbsp veg. oil
  • ½ tsp crushed garlic
  • ¼ dry thyme
  • 2 small carrot
  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • Dry chilly power
  • 1 cup of steamed peas
  • ½ cup cabbage
  • ½ cup cabbage
  • ½ cup water
  • Seasoning (any natural season of choice)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Caramelizing Onions
  2. Wash, peel, and slice onions.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan over low heat.
  4. Add onions, stir to coat, then cover to release juice.
  5. Uncover, reduce heat, and stir occasionally until onions soften and turn golden.
  6. Scoop out the caramelized onions and set aside; this step is crucial for flavor.
  7. Preparing Other Ingredients
  8. Cut liver into cubes.
  9. Crush garlic and chop carrots and tomatoes; set aside.
  10. Cooking the Sauce
  11. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil to the frying pan and heat until hot.
  12. Add chopped liver and fry for 1 minute until browned.
  13. Sprinkle in garlic, rosemary, thyme, and any other desired spices; continue frying until fragrant.
  14. Add carrots, tomatoes, black pepper, steamed peas, water, seasoning, salt, cabbage, and the caramelized onions.
  15. Cook until the water has reduced (about 1 minute).
  16. Remove from heat and serve.
